The Sir Zelman Cowen Centre is pleased to be convening the Faith-Based Governance & Dispute Resolution Conference, 5-6 December 2017 at Victoria University Convention Centre, 300 Flinders Street, Melbourne.
The two-day conference is designed to showcase and discuss best practice governance for faith-based organisations. Our keynote addresses, panel discussions and workshops will provide delegates with new knowledge, skills and resources for governance that meet the challenges of increased regulatory scrutiny and heightened community expectations.
The Faith-Based Governance & Dispute Resolution Conference will:
- Bring together faith-based communities to consider the implications and their response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and the Royal Commission into Family Violence (Victoria).
- Build the capacity of faith-based community organisations and their leadership.
- Promote knowledge exchange between communities about good practice in governance.
Secular and religious leaders and board members of faith-based organisations, dispute resolution practitioners, government services and regulators, legal and other academics with research interests in the intersection of law, religion, culture and diversity.
