Bridging The Gap To Put More Victorians Into A Job

The Bridge helps disengaged young people, culturally-diverse communities and people who’ve had contact with the justice system find meaningful jobs. The organisation will use the grant to place a further 90 people into employment.

The Bridge received more than $476,000 through the first round of Jobs Victoria funding, placing nearly 40 people into work.

One of these people was 20-year-old Nor Atikah Binti Ramli, who came to Melbourne as an asylum seeker from Malaysia and has recently struggled to find work because of cultural barriers.  The Bridge has helped her secure a job at Quest Apartment in Cheltenham.
